Hello! I'm from ProjectComment's Gallery at a Glance.
What are my strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths:
The most apparent thing for me is your anatomy! You’ve obviously gotten it down (assuming that the muscles are a stylistic thing). You’re also very good at using the colours given to you, and the motion in your Avatar series adds a whole lot to them.
Weaknesses:
I think your art could benefit a lot if you used different colours as shadows and highlights. I’ve noticed that you almost exclusively use different shades of a base colour for shadows, and it makes it look a little flat. Using dark blues and purples instead of black helps a lot!
The other thing I noticed is, to put it bluntly, breasts. Personally it annoys me when I see artists emphasizing boobs and butts so much, but aside from that I can see that you’re mistakenly drawing them like perfect spheres. Think of them like water balloons that are attached to the chest next to the armpits.
Is there something that you feel that I'm not managing to improve over the pieces?
Aside from the things I’ve listed above, I also think that your facial expressions aren’t as good (neither are mine, but I’m pointing it out anyway). Aside from your Ace Attorney drawing, they’re just the same smile - for example, all your Yu-Gi-Oh and Avatar drawings. Even the tiniest muscle can change the mood of a “blank” face, so I hope you can look into that.
And is there something that I really improved over the pieces?
I can definitely see a change in your shading, hair especially. It’s gotten better but also makes your humans look like they’re made of plastic, which is something that I have mixed feelings about. I can also see that you’ve started messing with background/outside light, which I’m too lazy to do, so that’s good!
What can I do to start to construct an interesting gallery?
I know the galleries that I like the most have some sort of consistent subject or style between their drawings (again something that I don’t have either). I also understand that you’re a fanart person, but it’d be nice to see some pieces that convey something, or at least get your viewers to feel something other than “oh, I love x show!”
